Monster Spawning/Respawning
The number of monsters that spawn is determined by what level you're on:
- Levels 1-2: One Level 1 monster and one Level 3 monster
- Levels 3-5: One Level 1 monster, one Level 2 monster, and one Level 3 monster
- Levels 6-8: Two Level 1 monsters, two Level 2 monsters, and two Level 3 monsters
- Levels 9-10: Two Level 1 monsters, three Level 2 monsters, and two Level 3 monsters
- Levels 11+: Two Level 1 monsters, three Level 2 monsters, and three Level 3 monsters
Monster Respawning
Monsters can despawn if they are further than 20 units away from all players for 20-40 seconds. Respawn time depends on how long you've been in the level:
- First 10 minutes: 4-5 minutes to respawn
- 10-20 minutes: 3.2-4 minutes to respawn
- 20-30 minutes: 2.4-3 minutes to respawn
- 30-40 minutes: 1.6-2 minutes to respawn
- 40-50 minutes: 0.8-1 minute to respawn
- 50+ minutes: 1 second to respawn
If a player kills a monster, its respawn timer will be multiplied by 3.
Final Extraction Behavior
After completing the last extraction in a level, monster behavior changes dramatically:
- All dead monsters will respawn immediately
- All monsters will have a 1 second respawn timer
- Monsters will start pathing towards the truck for 12 seconds
- After 12 seconds, they will start pathing to a room where a player is located every 3 seconds
Be prepared for an intense rush to the exit after your final extraction!

Animal
A fast, erratic roamer with a harmless attack that deals 2 damage. Moves randomly and unpredictably. It tramples Gnomes when walking over them, which can be beneficial.
How to Avoid
It would rather run than fight. Easy to kill with any weapon. If you pick it up, it speeds up and runs away. Two or more people grabbing it causes it to freeze temporarily before spinning out of control.
Recognize By
Fast movement and erratic noises

Apex Predator (Duck)
A harmless duck that follows you. If picked up or attacked, it transforms into Apex Predator that chases players for 10 seconds with a vicious bite (10 damage, three times per second).
How to Avoid
Don't pick it up or attack it. Can be safely killed for cash by positioning it in an extraction zone and letting the piston crush it. Running around solid objects like tables is effective for avoiding it when transformed.
Recognize By
Duck sounds when harmless, aggressive growling when transformed

Banger
An explosive enemy that spawns in groups of three. If it sees a player or takes damage, its fuse ignites and it charges at the nearest player. When it explodes, it's an instant kill up close.
How to Avoid
Can be picked up and thrown like grenades, but they break free after ~3 seconds. Listen for fuse sounds (hidden timer ~10 seconds and final warning). Throw them into wells, lava, or acid to dispose of them. Only takes 3 damage to kill.
Recognize By
Fuse hissing and ignition sounds

Bowtie
A large, puffy monster that roams at a medium pace. When it spots a player, it lets out a continuous scream that pushes the player back and disables sprinting and jumping. Sometimes enters a frenzy, stomping at high speed and damaging everything.
How to Avoid
Easy to kill with tranq guns, firearms, or melee weapons as they have very low HP. They can't move while screaming. If one is blocking your path, wait it out and it'll eventually move along.
Recognize By
Continuous screaming when attacking

Clown (Beamer)
A fast, loud enemy with heavy footsteps. Attacks with a deadly horizontal laser beam that deals 100 damage. If its laser is on cooldown (~8 seconds), it charges and kicks players instead, dealing 50 damage and launching them.
How to Avoid
Bait its laser from a high ledge (it can't jump) and attack while it's stunned. Crouch under the laser if timed right. Hide behind non-destructible cover. The laser also destroys scrap, so keep your loot far away.
Recognize By
Loud footsteps, laughing before attack, and laser charging sounds

Chef (Frog)
A slow-moving frog-like enemy that stops, smiles, and leaps at players, swinging its cleavers on impact. It deals heavy damage but won't kill instantly. If it misses its jump, it ragdolls momentarily.
How to Avoid
Stay alert, dodge the leap, and strike while it's recovering. Killing it earns $1.5k - $3k, making it a decent payday.
Recognize By
Croaking sounds and cleaver slicing

Gnome
Always spawns in groups of 4. They rely on surprise and swarming. Their damage is low, but they prioritize destroying scrap, making them a huge problem when collecting loot.
How to Avoid
Very weak - pick them up and slam them into the floor to kill them. Can be flung at other enemies to deal damage, turning them into makeshift weapons.
Recognize By
Giggling and rustling

Headman (Floating Head)
A floating giant head that roams around making loud biting noises. If it spots a player, it screams, charges, and bites, dealing 50 damage per chomp plus knockback damage.
How to Avoid
Turn a corner and hide - it loses interest fast. Wait for it to attack since it has a long cooldown. Sledgehammers work well due to its poor reach, and guns are effective thanks to its massive hitbox and low HP.
Recognize By
Loud biting noises and screaming

Hidden
Nearly invisible with only a black smoke cloud for a head and faint footprints. If it touches a player, it screams, grabs them, and carries them at high speed, stunning them and forcing them to drop items.
How to Avoid
Hard to spot until it's too late. If quick, you can free a grabbed teammate. It isn't dangerous on its own but can drag you into other enemies.
Recognize By
Faint whispers and screaming when grabbing

Huntsman
Blind but has super hearing - if he hears footsteps, jumps, voices, or objects, he instantly fires his shotgun, which could be an instakill up close. Follows a set patrol and won't chase you.
How to Avoid
Stay quiet and you'll be fine. Throw objects to distract him, dodge when he grunts before firing, or bait a shot and run past while he reloads (2 seconds). He trips on stairs and gets stunned. Fighting is a bad idea as he's tanky and turns and shoots instantly.
Recognize By
Grunting before firing and shotgun blasts

Peeper (Eye Monster)
A ceiling-dwelling monster that remains closed until a player enters its view. Forces player's crosshair toward it, and if they stare for ~3 seconds, it deals 10 damage per second until eye contact is broken.
How to Avoid
Break line of sight quickly. Tumble into doorways or under tables. Having a teammate nearby helps as it can only target one player at a time.
Recognize By
High-pitched ringing when affecting a player

Mentalist (Alien)
A floating enemy that searches for players and activates an anti-gravity aura, lifting all players and items nearby for 10 seconds. Then the aura turns red, and everything gets slammed back down, often killing players trapped under furniture.
How to Avoid
Easy to kill with melee weapons as it has low HP. If caught, have a teammate ready to pull you away before it drops you. It can teleport anywhere, so always be cautious.
Recognize By
Humming and anti-gravity effects

Reaper
A slow, deaf enemy with loud, hay-like footsteps. Poor eyesight but deadly if it sees you. It thrashes arm blades and charges, though not very fast. Has terrible object permanence.
How to Avoid
Crouching usually keeps you safe. Turn a corner and it'll likely forget you exist. It can't hear voices, footsteps, or jumping, but detects the gravi-beam. Don't try to hide under furniture - it will crouch and slash under them.
Recognize By
Loud, hay-like footsteps

Robe (Cloak)
A fast-moving but quietly persistent monster that follows players without them noticing. Knocks players back for 50 damage while crouching or 100 while standing. Looking at its mask makes it rage, dramatically increasing speed.
How to Avoid
Avoid looking at it, stay out of reach, and wait as it despawns after a while if it hasn't found a player. Hiding isn't foolproof - it remembers your location and will reach under furniture. Not recommended to fight as it has high HP.
Recognize By
Quiet movement and rustling cloth

Rugrat (Baby Monster)
Roams around grabbing valuable items. If it sees a player while holding something, it throws the item, damaging both player and item. If empty-handed, it runs away instead.
How to Avoid
Kill by smashing against floor or walls, but it's much heavier than Gnomes - needs either 2-3 people or one person with 4 strength upgrades to lift. If unarmed or alone, these thieves can be a real problem.
Recognize By
Babbling and giggling

Shadow Child
A slender, teleporting monster that randomly appears and disappears with child's laughter. If you look at it, your screen darkens slightly, and after 2-3 seconds, it jumpscares you, deals 30 damage, and flings you across the room.
How to Avoid
Wait it out (usually leaves within 10 seconds) or attack with a melee weapon - has very low HP and dies instantly to most attacks. More of an annoyance than a real threat unless you get thrown into something dangerous.
Recognize By
Child's laughter when appearing/disappearing

Spewer
A fast-flying enemy that hunts for players and vomits green liquid. Either flies in close or screams and pukes after a few seconds if in sight. If it touches you, it latches on for 10 seconds to a full minute, causing no damage but deepening voice and causing vomiting.
How to Avoid
Avoid facing teammates or scrap if it's stuck on you, or tumble to interrupt puking. If unattached, grab and shake it - it'll squeal and flee. Its vomit can kill other monsters like Clowns, making it useful for combat.
Recognize By
Flying buzzing and vomiting sounds

Trudge
An incredibly deadly but slow monster that drags a massive mace, creating a loud stone-grinding sound. When it spots a player, it unleashes a shockwave pulling players towards it, followed by a mace bash that's an instant kill.
How to Avoid
Run, hide, and wait for it to pass. It will use tendrils to reach under furniture if it knows you're hiding. Landmines work well, but unless you have enough to fully kill it or create a distraction, best to avoid.
Recognize By
Loud stone-grinding sound from dragging mace

Upscream
A deformed humanoid that crawls on the floor. When it spots a player, it grabs them, screams, and flings them backwards, dealing 10 damage and stunning for 2 seconds. Multiple can stunlock a player in an endless loop until death.
How to Avoid
The hammer is the best weapon due to their small size, but a tranq gun works too. When immobilized, grab them and slam them into the ground like gnomes. Coordinate with team if there's more than one.
Recognize By
Crawling noises and intense screams when attacking
